If you ever wondered how does a Hartge prepped M5 stack up to a standard M5er, now's your chance to find out. The guys from M5Boarddotcom published an interesting video Saturday recorded inside a Hartge M5.
There are a couple of differences between the stock M5 and the Hartge version. First of all, the F10 M5 engine conversion from Hartge brings the S63 engine to a whole new level. The 4.4-liter V8 will deliver 642 HP and 810 Nm of torque after the Hartge conversion. That's a 82 HP and 130 Nm increase.
At the same time, the acceleration times are improved and the fuel consumption reduced. The Hartge F10 M5 accelerates 2.06 seconds faster from 50 km/h to 250 km/h and 0.2 seconds faster to the 100 km/h benchmark.
Of course, Hartge also offers various visual and aerodynamic upgrade kits for an overall better performance. However, from this video you can see that it's pretty tricky to contain all that power and bend it to your own will but just listen to that engine roaring.
