Avon introduces their latest Cobra tires dedicated to the Harley-Davidson Fat Boy machines: Fat Boy (2007 model year and newer), Screamin’ Eagle Fat Boy (2006 model year), and Fat Boy Lo (2010 model year and newer).
The new Avon Cobra for H-D Fat Boy come in one size: 140/75R17 for the front (A71) and 200/55R17 for the rear (AV72).
These new Cobra come with no center groove, having replaced it with a special design called Force Following Grooves (FFG). Avon claims that the new groove pattern reduced uneven wear as provide a more uniform energy dissipation in the body of the tire, thus enhancing both grip and comfort at lean angles.
And since most Harley-Davidson owners are also in the game for style, Avon came up with a snakeskin effect sidewall for the new Cobra, too, a nifty match for the fluid design of the tread. No price has been announced yet, but you can find your closest dealer using this link.
