Starz Uncut just sent us some very interesting scoop footage from the movie set of the Hangover 3. Apparently, the film crew stopped traffic earlier this week in Orange County to film a bit of highway mayhem.
Zach Galifianakis, playing Allan, was behind the wheel of a brand new Mercedes Benz E350 Cabrio, towing what looks like some sort of animal box. We’re told that in the movie, the trailer will be used for a giraffe, though for obvious reason there isn’t one in these crash stunt scenes.

“Allen crashes his car into a semi truck. It was crazy, there was tons of smoke and the cargo from the semi truck spilled all over the freeway. After the crash I saw Zach Galifianakis running from the scene. The cops had the whole place on lockdown and tried to make sure nobody could see what was going on. I was able to get some footage of the crash right before a motorcycle cop made me leave,” Starz Uncut’s tipper says.

The whole road was shut down to the dismay of California’s motorists. But causing all this trouble only cost Warner Bros $25,000, which isn’t much considering what the movie will make.

The movie is scheduled to come out in May 2013. Let’s just hope the giraffe is all right!
