H&R Renault Megane CC Launched

As the summer season is in full effect, it is time for topless vehicles shine on roads. The playtime for the drop-top cars hasn’t remained unnoticed by tuners, who want a piece of the summer cake.The latest aftermarket offer for an open-air vehicle comes from suspension specialist H&R, which has developed a set of accessories for the Renault Megane Coupe Cabrio.

The French vehicle has received a 35-40 mm lowered suspension, which offers the car a mode sporty look, while also offering it an enhanced handling. H&R has also fitted the Megane CC with a set of TRAK+ wheel spacers that are made from high tensile aluminum.

The H&R components for the Megane Coupe Cabriolet are TUV (Germany’s Technical Inspection Association) approved.

The Megane CC was introduced to the public at this year’s Geneva Auto Show. The vehicle offers comfortable seating for four passengers and uses an automatic, electro-hydraulic roof folding mechanism. This allows the car’s two-part roof to retract in 21 seconds. It also comes with an an automatic pyrotechnic deployment system for the rollover hoops which has been engineered to offer a good response.

The Megane Coupe Cabrio has an engine range comprised of three petrol engines and three diesel units. The entry-level petrol unit is a 100 hp 1.6 liter engine. This is followed by a 130 hp unit and by a 2.0 liter 140 hp powerplant. Customers who want a diesel engine can choose between dCi units with power ratings between 110 hp and 160 hp. All the diesel engines on the Megane CC use Diesel Particulate Filters (DPF).
