GreenTech’s MyCar - Not Such a Great Idea?

The rather unimaginatively-named GreenTech and their 'MyCar', a company recently founded, with the aim of making affordable NEVs (neighborhood electric vehicles, for those who are unfamiliar).
However, unlike Tesla and other EV makers, this company is not backed by visionary investors who want to make a difference, but politicians who have lied to the people before (Bill Clinton is one of them). They don’t seem to realize that you need more than money, political influence and hired professional help to get such a venture right - you need passion for what you are planning on doing, otherwise the result will appeal to superficial people, kind of like those who run the company.

Well, to make matters worse for GreenTech and their MyCar (the name of both the company and the EV itself show the dullness of the company), it seems that they are relying on investments from overseas citizens, which have the option to invest in US companies $500,000, in exchange for faster green card processing.

Does this not strike you at all as strange? A bunch of politicians who never gave a damn suddenly turn green and ask for overseas investments to keep the newly-created company afloat - we find it more than odd and we are curious as to what their real intentions are.
