GreenTech Automotive Blessed by Bill Clinton - Production Commences

While Green Tech Automotive is a relatively unknown name on the increasingly-busy EV marketplace. The company was founded in 2006 and up until recently, they had yet to begin production of their first (and only) offering, dubbed MyCar.
Now, under the watchful eyes of former US President, Bill Clinton, the tires of the Horn Lake, Mississippi plant were kicked, with the first 20 finished cars going to Domino’s Pizza, to be used as delivery vehicles - a role very well suited to them. The imaginatively-named MyCar (they could have definitely done so much better than that, we say) is priced starting at $18,000 (€14,600) for the slower version, limited to 40 km/h (25 mph), with the top-of-the-range model being limited to 72 km/h (45 mph), with a maximum range of 152 km (95 miles).

Their (rather optimistic) aim is to build 10,000 MyCars next year. Who are they planning to sell all of them to? Well, apparently, a Danish distributor can shift them by the ‘thousands’. However, keeping in mind the kinds of people backing the project, with the likes of Bill Clinton, Terry McAuliffe (former Democratic Nation Committee Chief), as well as other very important names, maybe the right strings will be pulled and GTA’s MyCar will be a success - we still say it’s a long shot.
