While we are still waiting for the Gran Turismo 5 to be released (following several delays and blurry release dates, it seem the GT5 will be hitting the market on November 3 in Europe), we thought to give you a glimpse of one of the let's call them fun modes of the game: karting.
Whereas the other competition modes are likely to awaken the real competitor still dormant within you, the kart mode is, we reckon, all about pure fun. If anything, this is a sign that Polyphony listened to the gamers' cry for more excitement in the game, and less driving simulation (weird cries, we know).
The kart mode however is just only a small part of the game (we'll let you enjoy the kart mode by following the video below). What is hoped to be the most complete game in terms of competitions and cars, Gran Turismo 5 will bring to PlayStation3 consoles no less than 1,000 cars (800 standard and 200 premium) and 35 courses with more than 60 layouts.
The game will be released this November (hopefully) both in standard and Collector's Edition, with the latter priced at $99.99. The Edition will give the owner certificate of authenticity with a serial number and a voucher than can be used in order to get five more cars from the PlayStation Network.
The Collector's Edition, previewed in the beginning of August, will include five ChromeLine Collector’s Edition cars and six Stealth vehicles. The chance for a buyer/gamer to win a real Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG supercar is also offered.
