While we are still waiting (and waiting, and waiting, and waiting...) for the 5th installment of the Gran Turismo to arrive, the producers keep on throwing at us all types of videos, showing some in-game action. Just enough to make us want more...
The most recent of the videos shows the American side of the gazzilion competitions to be featured in the game: NASCAR.
In all, the GT5 features over 800 cars (with over 4,500 color variations), 35 courses with more than 60 layouts planned. In addition, the game offers a various functionality features, such as Ad hoc multiplayer races and trading or sharing cars, enabling players to explore a new range of communication methods.
Unfortunately, it's all in vain. Last we heard from Polyphony, the release date of the game is...unknown.
Last year, Kazunori Yamauchi, the president of Polyphony Digital, said the game will be launched in Japan on March 10, while the US will see it this summer.
Not the case. Both dates have been scrapped and moved to a "to be decided" corner. Fortunately, Europe will not be affected by the delay, said Sony Europe, forgetting to mention when the release date for Europe is.
The reason behind the delay is unknown, yet some suggest the game is far from being over and the initially announced release dates were just meant to frighten competitors like Forza Motorsport 3 for the Xbox 360.
