The Volkswagen Golf BlueMotion has taken another couple of top environmental accolade, having claimed the Gold Winner for Larger Family Cars as well as the overall Green Champion title at the Green Apple Environment Awards.
The awards were presented on Monday at the House of Commons and are voted for by members of the Midlands Group of Motoring Writers who judge the competing vehicles.

“‘It really does work.  Out of all the cars here, the Golf BlueMotion is the most impressive all-rounder and returns amazing economy figures in practice – while also remaining exceedingly practical and good to drive,”
said one of the judges.

The eco-minded Golf BlueMotion is powered by a 1.6-liter 105 PS common rail TDI engine offering a combined fuel economy of 74.3 mpg and CO2 emissions of 99 g/km.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
