Toyota will provide LeasePlan, a UK-based leasing company, with a trial fleet of their Prius Plug-In Hybrids ahead of the market arrival for the car that will take place in the autumn of 2012. The company will test it themselves for one week, after which it will be available for customers on a two-week basis.
It’s predicted that the Prius PHEV will have a combined fuel efficiency of 134.5 mpg coupled with emissions of only 49 g/km of CO2.

We believe it is important for our team to gain first-hand experience of new green vehicles to ensure we can deliver the best advice to our customers,” David Brennan, managing director LeasePlan UK said.
