The Japanese automaker is coming strong toward the end of the year. And, of course, fans are delighted about that. Even the ones dwelling across the parallel universes of vehicular CGI, as it turns out.
If we think about the most recent milestones set by the Asian carmaker, then we can't miss the 300-million vehicles production threshold it just achieved or the participation at the fresh Japan Mobility Show at home and the 2023 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The inaugural edition of JMS – the event formerly known as the Tokyo Motor Show for almost seven decades – was centered around Toyota's strives toward joining the battery EV revolution. We have seen there lots of attractions – especially the FT-Se concept that may hint at MR2's return, the EPU pickup truck, and the Land Cruiser Se.

Meanwhile, the Toyota booth at the 2023 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Nevada was centered on adventures – and the superstars were the 'Retro Cruiser' and 'FJ Bruiser' specialty builds along with the 421-hp 3.4-liter twin-turbo V6-swapped 2024 Tacoma X-Runner street sports truck concept, without a doubt. So, what comes next for the automaker? A generalist exhibition, of course.

Naturally, Toyota is already preparing diligently for the upcoming Los Angeles Auto Show (November 17-26) with a trio of teasers already out and about. One is of a mysterious car that may or may not be the impending XV80 ninth global generation of the best-selling Camry mid-size sedan. The other two, on the other hand, are without a shadow of doubt about the Toyota Crown.

No, not the 2024 Toyota Crown that's already on sale – a crossover-sedan that got minor enhancements and just a $100 price hike. Instead, the company is introducing a second body style – and it looks like a proper crossover SUV, at least from the rear, this time. The reveal date is also very close, as the automaker will feature the official premiere on November 14 at 10 PM ET.

So, we don't have to wait long before finding out all the juicy details. But do you think the imaginative realm of digital car content creators is that patient? Not at all, hence this apparition from TheAutoReport channel on YouTube, which is self-described as a "one-stop destination for the latest updates and insights into the dynamic world of (CGI) cars!"

Well, the resident pixel master outdid himself with this one. Although they clearly know about the teaser pictures shared by Toyota of America on social media – they're included in the unofficial footage – these CGI-focused folks still wanted to share their unique vision on the matter. Wowzer – that's the only way to describe it, as it's cladded in shiny silver and lots of gold details. That's a true crown jewel if we may say so.

Of course, if this is not your cup of tea, you need not worry because it's all a ruse. This wishful thinking project is probably light years away from the actual Toyota Crown SUV, which is probably going to be a mid-size CUV fashioned around the same traditional coordinates as – let's say – the Highlander mid-size model, only with some additional swagger to justify the higher pricing points. Also, we bet it's only going to be sold with a hybrid powertrain – the 'regular' Crown is powered by a hybrid setup based around a 2.5-liter naturally-aspirated inline-four engine connected to an eCVT or a six-speed automatic and churning out 236 horsepower.
