General Motors has announced several changes to its global leadership team as part of the company's plan to increase the emphasis on the Buick and Opel brands.
Mark Adams, now the executive director of global Cadillac and Buick design, will return to Europe to take over as vice president of design for GM Europe. He will be replaced by Andrew Smith in the US, who will leave his spot as design director at Holden.

In addition, current global Chevrolet and GMC design executive director Ken Parkinson will be reassigned as executive director of global Chevrolet Design and Architecture, while Helen Emsley (design director of Interior for full-size truck and performance car) will be promoted to executive director of global GMC Design.

Finally, design director of global Color & Trim John Puskar will replace Elmsey, while design manager of Buick Color & Trim Sharon Gauci will take over Puskar's duties.
