Driving a police car, complete with the lights and all, is one thing that’s high on the list of priorities for automotive enthusiasts, but the dream quickly turned into a nightmare for a Police Ford Crown Victoria owner (?) in Chattanooga. We know, we have to explain...
Luke Ridings had acquired a Crown Vic that came in full police spec (yes, that means lights, camera and radar) from someone in Georgia. The vehicle had been sold in Craigslist for $4,000, as The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports via autoblog.

The car had been experiencing severe electric problems, which cause it to be declared out of service and sent to be crushed. How it got on Craigslist? Nobody knows, but the police wants to find out after officers spotted Ridings driving the car. The vehicle was confiscated, with the driver being charged with operating an unregistered vehicle and... underage drinking.
