The German tuner has developed a special version of its famous SK Plus Sporty Drive supercharger system, which is suitable for the E85 generation of the BMW Z4 and the E46 incarnation of the BMW 3 Series.
The kit brings an ASA T3-313 supercharger, which has had its geometry optimized and received a custom housing. The tuner promises that the kit offers top quality, so reliability issues are out of the discussion. The forced induction package manages to offer a decent power and torque premium of 55 hp and 45 Nm.
In other words (or should we say numbers), once the package is mounted on the 3.0 liter straight six engine that powers the Z4 3.0i and the 330i, the the system brings the total output to 286 hp and 345 Nm of torque. We’ll remind you that this is an output comparable to that of the pre-facelifted E36 M3 model. The beefed-up engine allows both vehicles to deal with the naught to 62 mph sprint in 5.4 seconds.
G-Power also offers a hand-built, high-performance rear silencer made from stainless steel. The tuner recommends that the owners also install a wheel & suspension upgrade in order for the vehicles to cope with the extra power. The company offers Silverstone Diamond lightweight alloy rims that come in a 20-inch size and use Michelin tires (245/30 for the the front axle and 285/25 for the rear one), as well as a GZ4-RS coilover suspension that comes with 9-way adjustable compression and rebound.
