The neverending soap opera surrounding Toyota, BMW and their collaboration received a new episode in the last couple of days, due to a report saying the new car would be the same size as a Porsche 911.
Since these rumors might end up being true or might as well end up being false, we prefer a more laidback attitude on the matter. Namely, Theophilus Chin's latest pixel manipulation work that hints at how the new Supra would look like.
If you think his rendering has Toyota FT-1 written all over it, you're right, but at a closer look, you'll see some changed features meant to give the car a more production-ready, down to earth aura.
The car's front end is less dramatic than what Toyota's hot FT-1 prototype had to offer while the same can be told about the vehicle's profile, which is less sculpted than the concept.
Also, the headlights look very obedient and simplistic in terms of design; the wheel arches lost a lot of their muscular appearance, but the overall sleek shape has been kept intact. It's not that aggressive anymore, but it gained smooth curves here and there, and we can't say no to that.
Recently, Toyota trademarked the 'S-FR' name, which we hope will be the next Supra although the letter combination might be confusing for some, especially since Scion uses the FR-S moniker to sell what some know as the Toyota GT86 or Subaru BRZ.
