If you're a boating enthusiast who dreams of an all-electric future when it comes to mobility, X Shore is a name to remember. This Swedish startup is working its way up in the maritime technology industry, proving every step of the way that green performance at the highest standards is fully possible.
Sustainable initiatives that support emission-free mobility are still largely dependent on adequate funding. Even the most exciting concept couldn't get off the ground without enough money and support. Swedish technology company X Shore made waves with the all-electric Eelex 8000, a high-performance, fully-electric boat, and continued to dazzle with the unveiling of the X Shore 1 just two years ago, followed by the X Shore PRO.

It wasn't always easy for the Stockholm-based company throughout this intense journey that began just eight years ago, despite the market success of its innovative vessels. Still, its new CEO, René Hansen, is already steering it in the right direction. The most recent funding round also brought a significant financial boost (SEK 100 million/$9.1 million) that will allow X Shore to focus on product R&D. Plus, the company is already thinking about adding more exciting designs to its current lineup.

The Eelex 8000, X Shore 1, and X Shore PRO boast remarkable performance and high-quality design, with the added perks of greater affordability and a minimal environmental footprint compared to conventional boats. They feature dual lithium batteries from Kreisel, an Austrian company that tries to produce batteries in the greenest way possible.

While these boats were specifically designed to be compatible with virtually all types of chargers for easy and convenient charging, X Shore has also developed a mobile charging station, the Juice Booster 2, with an output of up to 22 kW. This highly versatile option is fully mobile, safe, and ready to operate efficiently even in extreme temperatures.

The newest addition to the X Shore lineup is the X Shore PRO, designed for professionals in various maritime sectors. This is a heavy-duty workboat that combines fully electric performance with the reliability and ruggedness of a utility vessel.

Size-wise, the X Shore PRO combines a 26-foot (eight-meter) length with an 8.5-foot (2.6-meter) beam and a 2.7-foot (0.85-meter) depth. It's designed to transport a large number of passengers safely or to haul heavy work equipment, and it comes in three different versions: Cabin, Open, and T-top, with customizable interiors. Due to its complexity, the X Shore PRO also takes up to one year to be delivered, almost twice as long as the delivery time for the Eelex 8000.

Performance-wise, the Eelex 8000 is able to cover up to 100 nautical miles (185 km) and hit speeds of more than 30 knots (34.5 mph/55.5 kph), while the X Shore 1 is designed for a 50-nautical mile (92.6 km) range.
