Frankfurt Auto Show: Range Rover Sport Autobiography

Completing Land Rover’s lineup for 2010 (new engines and styling enhancements for the Range Rover, Range Rover Sport and Discovery 4) at this year’s Frankfurt Auto Show is the Range Rover Sport Autobiography Limited Edition, that also premieres a reclining rear seat package for the Range Rover.

According to the British manufacturer, the Autobiography Sport limited edition will only be produced in 500 units for the UK market, and will come in a two-tone leather interior and some exterior design features including the grille, vents and 20-inch diamond turned finish alloy wheels, all presented for the first time at the IAA.

The Range Rover Sport Autobiography limited edition and additional new features on the Range Rover will be available in the UK starting from January 2010, with pricing details to be released closer to the date.

As we said, Land Rover is also introducing electronically-controlled reclining rear seats, with four-way adjustable lumbar support and airline-style winged head restraints.

“With August sales up 11.6 percent against the same period last year, we are now starting to see early signs of stability in the UK market,"
said John Edwards, managing director Land Rover UK, in a statement for the press.

"We're therefore convinced that one of the best ways to help keep things moving is to excite potential customers with new and improved vehicles. Our range for 2010 is without doubt our strongest ever, and early signs show that these new products are receiving an outstanding reception in the marketplace,”
concluded Edwards.
