Before we get to see the Lotus lineup and squeeze ourselves into the Elan, there’s the little matter of a facelift that could change the way we look at their sportscars for a couple of years. We’re talking about the Exige, which was clearly the focus of attention at their Frankfurt stand this year.
Besides the rally-bread monster we just showed you, Lotus has a new Exige S, which brings not only a supercharged 3.5-liter V6, but also a completely different set of looks. Exciting stuff!
This can now has 350 horsepower for you to play with, which is 130 more than before. But it’s also 145 kg (310 lbs) heavier.
This still makes it the choice for the Lotus fans who want to go fast and don’t care about how they look getting out. The standard sprint takes “about” 3.8 seconds and top speed is “about” 270 km/h or 170 mph.
