Four New Iveco Trucks Handed Over to Fiat Yamaha Team

The official Fiat Yamaha MotoGP team sponsor Iveco handed over the keys to four new Stralis 500 trucks at the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza ceremony yesterday. The four vehicles will join the other two already in the team’s use.

Alongside the newly delivered trucks were parked the YZR-M1s of Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo. Both Fiat Yamaha team riders debuted this season in style at Qatar, when Rossi clinched first place and was followed shortly by Lorenzo, who came in second.

The event was attended by Lin Jarvis, Yamaha Motor Racing's Managing Director, Marco Riva, YMR's General Manager and Davide Brivio, Fiat Yamaha Team Manager, as well as by Senior Vice Present of Sales and Marketing, Franco Miniero, Senior Vice President of External Relations and Communications, Marco Monticelli and CV Brand Communication and Advertising Director, Marco Monacelli.

"Moving our team around is a huge logistical job and we've worked closely with Iveco and Fiat to find exactly the right vehicles. When you look at our bikes and the trucks side by side it's difficult to see the similarities but in fact many of the same technologies are important, such as high performance, efficient consumption and reliability. These are the key features of these Iveco trucks and we're looking forward to getting them on the road!"
Lin Jarvis said.

"Iveco shares with Fiat Yamaha the attention to detail that makes Yamaha a winning team all over the world, and we Italians are very proud that they have their headquarters here in Italy. Congratulations to the FYT! We hope that in our role as Official Sponsor and Premium Supplier we will accompany you along this winning road and we hope to give you, as we say in our sign-off, a lot of energy!"
