For 2014, Ford is really stepping up its involvement in Formula Drift. In its second year as an official sponsor of the series, the American automaker will offer the EcoBoost-powered Fiesta ST as giveaway, and it will display the new Mustang and Fiesta ST trackside, along with Ford parts and accessories.
Formula Drift fans can win the Fiesta ST by visiting Ford's displays during any of the competitions or by entering online. Anyone can enter the contest while watching the hot action each weekend at www.formulad.com. Car aficionados will be able to admire the beautiful lines of the new 2015 Mustang trackside, which is similar to the pair driven by RTR Drift Team’s Gittin and Team Falken’s Pawlak. Gittin won the 2010 Formula Drift championship in a Ford Mustang, while he and Pawlak took three podium finishes in 2013.

The Blue Oval has first made contact with North America's foremost professional drifting championship back in 2005, when the competition triggered a successful Ford Racing development program for the supercharged 4.6-liter V8 crate engine. Ryan Sage, Formula Drift's vice president and cofounder, declared "It's great to have Ford Motor Company back in the series again in 2014. Fans can expect to be really blown away this year."
