Ford Mustang Special Edition for Sale, Includes Lunch with Lee Iacocca

One of the 45 limited edition Iacocca Silver 45th Anniversary Mustangs is currently for sale, offering the highest bidder the chance to also win a lunch with the “Father of the Mustang” in Los Angeles. Donated by Lee Iacocca himself, the car is estimated to fetch at least $120,000. Bidding ends on February 23rd, and at the time of writing rests at $80,000.

The anniversary model is the result of a collaboration between Iacocca, designer Michael Leone, Gaffoglio Family Metalcrafters and Design Company.

Each of the 45 limited edition Mustangs, including the example in question, are custom-built by the team at Gaffoglio Family Metalcrafters, who used composite construction laminates, a reinforced material that is primarily used in aerospace design.

The special edition comes in two powerplant options sourced from the same engine, namely a normally-aspirated 4.6l Ford V8. The unit develops either 320 hp (for the Ford Racing Cold Air) or 400 hp (for the Ford Racing Supercharger). Both are mated to a 5-speed stick shift transmission, but the option for a automatic version is still on the table.

The vehicle is based on a 2009 Mustang GT platform, the suspension has been upgraded with a Ford Racing Performance Handling Package, wheel shave been custom made and wrapped in Goodyear Eagle RS-A performance tires.

Interior highlights include a leather-wrapped steering wheel with "I" logos, Diamond Design leather seats with embroidery stitching, an Iacocca signature dash plaque with serial number, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with “I” badge and Iacocca-badged aluminum sill plates.

You can place your bid for the Iacocca Silver 45th Anniversary Mustang and lunch in LA with Iacocca himself at the following link.
