While Mark LaNeve is less well-known than some of his other ‘colleagues’, he did in fact run Cadillac marketing schemes which ultimately lifted the aging US brand from its old and outdated image and brought into contemporary times, to the tune of Led Zeppelin.
Now, though, LaNeve has gotten a job with Team Detroit (COO for Ford’s own ad agency) and we speculate that after seeing what he did with Cadillac, Ford want a piece of that action with their very own luxury sub-brand, Lincoln.
Let’s just see if he can pull off the image transformation that Lincoln so desperately needs, if it wants to align with other luxury manufacturers which have been boosting their image for years, whereas Lincoln hasn’t. They also have a few nice cars to woo buyers away from other brands, like the MKZ and MKS.
