Ford Launches 2010 Mustang Customizer Site

The 2010 Ford Mustang is now ready to be customized as you please as the American carmaker has announced the availability of a customizer site based on digital technologies that allows enthusiasts to virtually create their very own Mustang, choosing accessories, colors, decals and much more.

The 2010 Mustang features many performance and appearance options, offering 3,012 possible combinations available for order without accessories and 9,224 possible combinations with accessories (not including exterior and interior colors, and SVT).

We tried the site and we fond it fun and simple to use. It allows you to choose parts, change colors, determine the intensity of your burnout cloud and save your combination as a desktop wallpaper. Accessories available include wheels, decklids, spoilers and grilles, and you can also choose your background theme (sunset, moon or rain).

"Car companies have tried to create tools that let you simulate what a car might look like with various options. But those tools are typically limited to only what you can get from the manufacturer. Our customizer lets customers use Ford parts, aftermarket accessories and custom colors to come up with their own unique designs," said Scott Kelly, digital marketing manager.

"Mustang owners want their car to stand out from the crowd and the 2010 Mustang provides the perfect base to work from. This tool is an exciting way to experiment and see the possibilities on how they can make a Mustang their own - and the response has been outstanding," added Steve Ling, North America car marketing manager.
