"Fisker of Tampa Bay is the first retail partner to unveil the Karma in the state. As such, this is an interesting opportunity for car enthusiasts and prospective buyers to get the first peek at this automotive masterpiece," stated the press release.
The premium plug-in hybrid vehicle’s tour includes a total of 43 cities and celebrates Fisker Automotive’s new North American retail network.
"In building our U.S. network we selected retailers with a successful track record handling established premium brands and delivering a premium customer experience," said Mr. Fisker.
The Fisker Karma offers a total of 403 hp, a power wave that allows it to leave the 60 mph mark behind in six seconds and reach a top speed of 125 mph, while achieving “more than 100 mpg on an annual basis”. The vehicle has a total range of 300 miles, out of which 50 are electric-only. The car uses a Lithium-ion battery provided by A123 Systems, which can reach a full charge status in eight hours.
“Fisker Automotive created the premium plug-in hybrid segment when it introduced the Karma at the 2008 North American International Auto Show as a concept. Distinctive, stylish and green, the Karma is priced competitively within its segment and appeals to eco-friendly customers who don't want to compromise their passion for driving,” stated the press release.
Untill now, a total of 1,600 customers have placed orders for the Karma. The deliveries are scheduled to start in the first quarter of next year.
