People are going slightly mad over a car they haven't even yet seen, and even though that sounds crazy, we can totally understand them. If you think about it, Tesla used to be this unattainable piece of modern technology for most people, and with the launch of the new electric compact sedan, it's turning mass market; it's becoming accessible.
It's only natural that the middle class will want to get their hands on something that was previously only the appanage of those more fortunate than them, even though the Model 3 will always bear the "stigma" of the "cheap Tesla." If you can call a car with a starting price of $35,000 "cheap."

We're just one day and two nights away from the moment when Tesla stores will be opening their doors on March 31 morning, and in doing so they will also open their books for the first reservations. However, depending on where you live on the globe, this moment can come sooner or later.

It would appear the ones who will be making the first in-store reservations are the residents of Sydney, Australia, due to the time zone they're in. But we can talk specifics here, since 48 hours ahead of the store opening up on March 31, Sydney resident Andreas Stephens is already camping outside its entrance.

The man is the owner of a Toyota Corolla Seca, but apparently his 19-year-old son was able to convince him that his next car should be an EV. Australian media outlet EFTM interviewed the happy camper and found out he doesn't even have a garage yet. "I've got two years to build one," he realistically told the publication.

In fact, the sad truth is that he might even have more than that. In an ironical twist of fate, the first ones to make the reservations might end up being the last to actually receive their cars, as the deliveries will be prioritized based on region. They will begin with the western US cities and move East from there. How's that time zone working for you now, Aussies, huh?
