We knew it was coming, but now that it has happened we’re actually pretty sad about it. Yes folks, the first Scion FR-S sports coupe, deliveries of which only started about two weeks ago, has been crashed.
The owner of the car says he was taking a right turn he knows very well, but somehow he lost control of the car while doing about 20 mph (32 km/h). He says he doesn’t know what happened, but he was heading for a telephone pole. He also say that in his panic he pressed the clutch instead of the brakes.
“I couldn't believe how much the car just crumpled. I just looked at it and sat on the ground. I can't even describe to you the feeling of seeing it like that. I just wanted to cry,” the FR-S owner says.
"I want you guys to know that I truly feel awful about the whole thing," he said in a post on the FT86 Club forum. "I am truly sorry for letting my fellow FR-S owners down, and through making a complete ass out of myself, I feel I've learned a valuable lesson, albeit a hard one."
