Not too long ago, we met up with the first crashed BMW M4, a terrible accident that happened in Germany due to the lack of attention paid by a 20-year old. Now, we stumbled upon two of its brothers, that have seen a similar faith.
Information is scarce at the moment but what we can tell you is that at least one of them doesn’t look like it’s been totaled. The Yas Marina Blue model seems to have hit a guard rail with its right side, probably while being driven by a journalist on a track at a press event.

From the looks of things, the rear fender, the bumper, taillight, doors, front fender and mirror will have to be replaced. That, along with the airbags inside, the panels and the wheels should push the bill for fixing it above $10,000.

The Mineral White one seems to be in more trouble. The rear axle was probably ruined and it probably won’t be fixed as the damage seems too extensive. Once again, most of the impact seems to have been absorbed by the rear quarter of the car, seemingly pointing out that the rear-wheel-drive setup and added torque of the engine make the M3 and M4 quite dangerous at high speeds.

BMW tried to amend those possible issues before the car even came out. The new M models are fitted with an extremely intelligent rear differential that makes infinite adjustments as you drive on the track, to make sure you have the best possible traction. However, nothing can defy the laws of nature and keep you alive, if you insist on going overboard. Caution will do more than any computer.
