Despite all their problems with the international community and the ever increasing tensions on the border with Ukraine, Russians still know how to have fun. The M Festival organized by BMW wasn’t going to be overshadowed by such events, and things went on as scheduled.
As expected, a decent crowd gathered around and official BMW drivers started burning rubber like there was no tomorrow (well, considering the current worldwide tensions, that might very well be the case).
Fortunately, they also brought along the latest M cars from the range, the new M3 and M4 and they were included in the show, of course. Since everyone was waiting for them, the two were the main attraction of the gathering, at one moment being caught in what looked like a drift off.
Circling each other while smoke kept coming out from under the wheel well, the crowd went ecstatic. Add in the sound of the new inline 6-cylinder engine and you’re bound for some interesting action.
Amongst the other cars present at the Moscow M Festival you could also spot a BMW M135i, M235i and several M5 and M6 models done is special colors like Java Green and Atacama Yellow. Drift taxis were available throughout the proceedings and they were on high demand.
Starting this summer (July to be more precise) deliveries of the new M3 and M4 will begin worldwide, at prices starting at $62,000 for the 4-door model and $64,200 for the Coupe, in the US.
