First Les Ateliers Ruby Boutique Opens in Paris

Luxury helmet company Les Ateliers Ruby have just opened their first store, choosing Paris as the location for their display of elegance. Located close to the Louvre and Palais Royal, the Paris boutique can be found at #1 Rue Herold.

The brand has brought here limited runs, art editions, one-offs and various other items that evoke “Ruby’s universe and demanding aesthetic”.

The store also houses beautifully restored classic motorbikes, all accompanied by riveted aluminium furniture and the same quilted cardinal leather that you’ll find inside the luxury helmets, weheart.co.uk reports.

Having collaborated with Karl Lagerfeld, Eley Kishimoto, and Sponge Bob Square Paints, the brand offers a variety of helmets designed by Jerome Coste, who was guided by the following motto when creating
them: “Life is the most precious thing that you posses. That is why we have made uncompromising choices.”

Taken separately, the partnership with Eley Kishimoto took inspiration from their common inspiration for “flat track”, with the resulting helmets retailing for $1,350.

Furthermore, he encounter of Coste with Karl Lagerfeld resulted in exclusive helmet creations that have as well been displayed during the latter’s Fall/Winter 2009-2010 fashion show. Only a few selected models have been released by Les Ateliers Ruby, including a tweed-covered model that will only be available in a limited run of 100 units, each retailing for $1,800.

Finally, the first edition of the ‘Legend’ Short program celebrates the 10-year anniversary of Sponge Bob Squarepants, the iconic cartoon hero. Only 200 numbered copies will be on sale in Europe or America, each priced at $1,200.
