Ever since we first saw an exhaust system made by the guys from Innotech Performance Exhaust (or IPE for short) on a fire spitting Aventador we started wondering what they could come up with for the F10 M5. The wait is over.
They just posted a video on their Facebook page, showcasing their latest invention, the custom performance exhaust for the current M5. The sound is actually really brutal, close to a F1 car at high revs.
Furthermore, while decelerating you can actually hear the induction noise made by the turbochargers fitted on the S63 4.4-liter V8 engine and its 560 HP and 680 Nm (501 lb-ft) of torque.
The maximum noise levels reached around 110dB. That's real loud. That's a bit more than a Boeing 747 at takeoff and that's exactly how you will feel inside an M5 fitted with this exhaust, especially since we expect the power gains to be well in the 20 HP margin.
