Supersprint's Custom Exhaust for BMW F10 M5

Many people complained about the new M5's sound. Some say it's no match for the previous S85 V10, some say that it doesn't do justice to the S63 V8. An experienced  tuner such as Supersprint couldn't miss the opportunity to create something new for such a controversial model.

They developed the new exhaust system from scratch, knowing that this is the only way they could create the best option on the market. Such an approach takes time and that's why they released the new exhaust 1 full year after the M5 was released.

Their system is made completely out of stainless steel and comes in a variety of combinations. Actually, you can choose every part of the exhaust system yourself and the guys will combine them to your own liking.

There are 4 choices for each segment of the exhaust: downpipes, front pipes, center section and rear mufflers. The latter come in Sport, Race and Valved versions.

During the creation of these beauties, the guys also stumbled upon something rather interesting. When they put the M5 to the dyno test, the stock numbers were incredible.

The readings showed the M5 had 603 HP and 780 Nm (575 lb-ft) of torque, instead of 560 HP and 680 Nm (501 lb-ft) of torque. Those are incredible differences. Everyone suspected the engine to put out more power than advertised but not by such a difference.

However, the power increase doesn't stop there. When they also fitted the M5 with their own creation, the power reading went up to 624 HP and 810 Nm (597 lb-ft) of torque. That's another 21 HP and 30 Nm (22 lb-ft) of torque on top of the real numbers. Impressive.
