Earlier this year, Fiat introduced the new Uno in South America and now the company is working on a roadster concept based on the vehicle, as well as on a sporty incarnation of the car.

The two special incarnations of the new Uno are scheduled to be presented at the 2010 Sao Paolo Auto Show in Brazil, which will take place between October 27 and November 7.

The Uno Roadster is a two-seater that comes with an interesting design. The vehicle uses rugged styling features, such as lateral air scoops and twin U-shaped roll-bars that are placed behind the seats. The car also wears a body kit that features bold details, with the most aggressive elements being the front and the rear bumpers. The interior of the topless Uno also comes with sporty accents, using a sky blue finish for certain elements.

However, this is not an “all-show, no-go” concept. Let us explain: the cabriolet rides on 17 inch lightweight alloy rims and is powered by a 1.4 liter four-cylinder petrol engine that uses turbocharging to deliver 152 hp.

As for the second model, this uses the Sporting name and is actually a new trim level for the Uno. Customers who will choose this version will get a sports suspension, which will bring the car closer to the ground, as well as 15-inch alloy rims with 185/60 tires. The interior of the car will also offer new trimming for elements like the door inserts and the climate control system buttons on the center console. Unfortunately, the version still comes with the Uno’s standard 85 hp 1.4 liter powerplant.
