Fiat has announced the introduction of a brand new trim level for its Freemont crossover SUV. Named Black Code, the new range-topping Freemont will be shown to the public at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show and will go on sale starting first quarter 2014.
Available with both front-wheel and all-wheel drive, the Freemont Black Code comes with a unique design which includes glossy black finish for the front grille, mirror covers and exclusive 19-inch alloy wheels, and blackened front headlight frames. Inside, the top-of-the-range model sports automatic three-zone climate control system, cruise control, leather upholstery, and heated seats.
Other safety and convenience feature such as keyless entry, rear parking sensors, electrically folding mirrors, 8.4-inch touchscreen satellite navigation, Bluetooth connectivity and a Premium sound system with six speakers are also available as standard.
Under the hood, the Freemont Black Code can be fitted with the 2.0-liter MultiJet II diesel engine (170 HP) or the 3.6-liter gasoline unit 280 HP). The first one can be ordered with either a manual gearbox (FWD version) or an automatic transmission (AWD version), while the latter can be had as an AWD automatic only.
Pricing for the Fiat Freemont Black Code will be announced later this year.
