Fiat Commercial Vehicle UK's Comedy Series Coming to CV Operators Show

Earlier this month, we reported that Fiat Professional UK, the company’s British commercial vehicle arm, will launch a new brand marketing campaign, in the form of a 10-episode comedy series, called “The Fleet”.

Now, the company announces that it will bring the fictitious company that stars in the series to this year’s Commercial Vehicles Operators Show, which will be held in Birmingham, between April 13 - 15. The event’s visitors will have the chance to feel like they are part of the action.

Fiat Professional’s booth will display six vans, all of which will be finished in white and feature the blue Lightfoot Logistics logo. Lightfoot Logistics is the sitcom fleet management firm featured in the campaign.

The complete Fiat commercial Vehicles line-up will include a Grande Punto Van, powered by a 75 hp 1.3 liter diesel engine, a Fiorino Cargo using the same unit, a Doblo Cargo featuring the 90 hp 1.3 liter diesel powerplant, a long wheelbase version of the Doblo Cargo powered by a 135 hp 2.0 liter diesel engine, a Scudo using the 90 hp 1.6 liter diesel unit and a Ducato Maxi extra long that uses a 160 hp 3.0 liter diesel powerplant.

We will also have displays showing images from ‘The Fleet’ filming and advertising campaign, along with a TV monitor showing some of the episodes from the series and a DVD about new Doblo Cargo,” says Gerry Clarke, director, Fiat Professional. “Other than a preview screening earlier this month and the ITV news spot, this is the only currently planned public viewing of some of ‘The Fleet’ episodes,” Clarke added.
