Fiat-Chrysler Boss Sergio Marchionne Announces Single Management Team

Sergio Marchionne takes another step in joining Fiat and Chrysler under a new single management team dominated by Fiat’s executives. New CEOs will be proposed for Fiat and Chrysler-Lancia brands, while four regional executives will manage Fiat and Chrysler operations in North America, South America, Europe and Asia effective starting on September 1st.

Marchionne maintained his position as the boss of Fiat and Chrysler in North America while Gianni Coda, head of purchasing at Fiat, was named to run operations in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. The head of Brazil Cledorvino Belini, will manage South America, which is Fiat’s most profitable market, while Michael Manley will continue to manage the Jeep brand he will also be in charge of boosting sales and profit in Asia.

"We have now reached the right moment to step on the accelerator of the Fiat-Chrysler integration.These appointments are the result of an extensive process of evaluation of the technical and leadership skills of the individuals who have been appointed to the GEC.We recognize in these leaders the future of Fiat-Chrysler as an efficient, multi-national competitor in a global automotive marketplace. Being part of the 22 new executive board members are some who worked with Marchionne when he first started to consider Chrysler’s acquisition. Among them there is Stefan Ketter as head of manufacturing technology, Heeald Wester former boss of Fiat engineering,and  Alessandro Baldi, head of Fiat’s treasury, who we have to mention has been on Marchionne’s team for more than 20 years.
