The Brits are loving the Fiat 500, with the little car recently managing to convince its 100,000th customer in the UK, with the milestone coming after four and a half years of market presence.
The carmaker’s British arm wants us to know that 80 percent of the sales were accounted for by models with the 1.2-liter petrol engine, while the 0.9-liter two-cylinder TwinAir unit, which arrived in 2010, covered 8 percent of the sales. In addition to that, 48 percent of the cars were purchased in the range-topping Lounge trim. As for the most popular colors, these are Bossanova white, Pasodoble red, Volare light blue and the metallic Crossover black

“We were always confident that the 100,000 landmark would come,” says Elena Bernardelli, marketing director, Fiat Group Automobiles UK Ltd. “It’s a wonderful achievement and I am sure that we will see many more sales successes in the years to come.”
