Ferrari Manager Feels Pain for Lost Season

After the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix last weekend, it's needless to suspect that the atmosphere inside the Ferrari garage on Sunday was not how you'd want a season to end. Especially since we're talking about a team that is used to winning in the Great Circus, rather than watch everybody else take the glory.

After Ferrari's boss Luca di Montezemolo promised his team will return stronger in 2011 and Fernando Alonso hailed the 2010 campaign as being a satisfying one, team manager Stefano Domenicali also expressed his feelings on the recently-ended F1 year. After congratulating Sebastian Vettel and the Red Bull team for their performances this season, he admitted he now feels pain for the failure in Abu Dhabi, when the team could have walked away with a title.

First of all I want to congratulate Vettel with his title because I think it is important in this sport to recognize... What I feel inside is for sure a lot of pain because when you arrive there and see you can do it, you feel very painful,” said Domenicali after the season finale last weekend.

And for sure it was the worst race of the year for us, so that is why it hits you very strong in your head. But after this moment the only thing you can do is try to disconnect, breathe a lot and recover the batteries to push the people to do a better job next year because we have all the elements to do it.”

We know that we can count on a group of people who have grown and need to grow again, and this is something I would like to say to Fernando - because he did a fantastic season. He always pushed the people to work, he never gave up and I feel sorry also for him, this is true.
