The Fiat Group has set up an engine development plan that will cost the company EUR50 million (USD62 million) and will include, among others, an important effort that will be carried out by Ferrari.
The supercar producer will work to create more efficient powerplants, with the company set to develop a twin-turbo V6 producing around 450 hp (Ferrari’s V6 return has been rumored for a long time and it is now going to happen), as well as a naturally-aspirated V8 that will deliver over 500 hp.

The Prancing Horse will also created detuned versions of those engines, which will be used by Maserati (for the next Quattroporte and the upcoming SUV), as well as for a future Alfa Romeo flagship vehicle, which could be a replacement for the 159.
