Ferrari California Wrapped in Blue Velvet Looks Like an Italian Smurf

When will we learn? Things such as velvet wraps on cars don’t just go out of fashion in a year or two. Just when we thought we wouldn’t see such customization jobs anymore, we came across a Ferrari California that looks like something that belongs in The Smurfs.
Forget the Belgian comic though, this is an Italian-built, British-wrapped four-wheeled creature. We have to admit though, we’ve never seen a Ferrari California that stands out more than the one shown in the footage below.

The fact that it comes from London shouldn’t surprise anybody. After the velvet wrap started becoming a trend a few years ago, we came to the conclusion the city is the global capital of such apparels.

Another fact we have to agree with is that, at least from what we can see in the video, the wrap job is one of the best we’ve seen. All the little details seem to have been handled with care.

Still, many people might go over the visual challenges such a wrap poses. However, there are enough of them who ask themselves about the cleaning issues such a wrap can bring.

Well, if you pay close attention to the clip, you’ll notice dark finger marks on the boot lid. At first, most velvet wraps were Black, but a color such as this one brings a strong contrast with the dirt marks.

Wonder if the trend will live long enough to make it onto the California T...
