Ferrari Auction Memorabilia, Ultimate Track Experience at the Telethon

The Italian version of the Telethon has some surprises in store for the million of viewers who are constantly calling to donate a certain amount of money for charity purposes. As announced by the Ferrari official site earlier today, the Italian company will donate a Formula One car's steering wheel and a scale model of their 2008 title-winning single seater to be auctioned in the famous Telethon.

Ferrari will donate some special items to Telethon, which will be auctioned off for a good cause during the TV marathon held in these days. The items are a reproduction of a Formula 1 single-seater steering wheel and the model - on a scale of 1:8 - of the single-seater, which won the 2008 Constructors' Title,” said the Ferrari statement.

And that's not all, as the best part is yet to come. According to their announcement, the Italian company is ready to offer two lucky bidders the chance to actually visit the Maranello headquarters, while also being given a ride on the Fiorano track by one of Ferrari's official race drivers for the 2010 season: Fernando Alonso or Felipe Massa.

(...)Two guests at Ferrari can be win a visit of the production site and the Scuderia Ferrari in Maranello as well as some laps on the Fiorano track with the cars of the Ferrari range. Either Alonso or Massa will be driving the car , making this experience unforgettable. The same drivers' overalls will sport the Telethon logo in the upcoming F1 season,” added the statement.

The Telethon (fundraising TV show held in several countries worldwide) is held by RAI television in the month of December of each year, since 1990. Until 2009, the aforementioned TV show raised approximately 284,000,000 euro.
