Form usually doesn’t meet function on a supercar, which is why they are low, wide and filled with rocket-ship technology.
But the 458 Italia isn’t a complete UFO. It’s more like Pininfarina form blended together with wind tunnel looks into a package that’s no scarier than a regular sedan around town.
The Canadian tuners SR Auto Group collaborated with PUR Wheels to create a look that’s even better than factory finish. They replaced the 458’s wheels with brand new PUR 4OUR Monoblocks. These offer the same proportions as the factory rims and are a prime example of what’s known as ‘factory flush’.
The wheels use the factory tire sizing and fit inside the edge of the fender flaring.
“The golden rule to modifying cars is to make them better than when they arrived. This rule was immediately instilled when we were presented with a vibrant red Ferrari 458 to work with,” SR Auto says about project Factory FLUSH.
