Fenix Supercar Official Pictures

Remember the Noble supercars? Lee Noble, one of the men that helped grow the Noble brand left the automaker a while ago and decided to produce a supercar of his own. The company is called Fenix Automotive and their first car is already being built at their headquarters in South Africa.

The new car is a mid-engined two seater with a new design and a chassis built by Lee Noble himself.

"The M12 was hugely successful, but we needed to move the game on in terms of design," says Noble, as quoted by pistonheads.com. "The new car's styling owes nothing to what I've done before and has quite literally been a 'clean sheet' exercise from the start. It's edgy, with powerful lines, and aerodynamically will be in another league to any of my previous cars."

The car will be powered by GM’s LS3 V8 engine which produces 480 hp and powers the Corvette C6. For the really power-hungry freaks, Fenix also offers the LS9 V8 engine which is fitted on the Corvette ZR1 and produces 638 hp. According to the producer, the car should accelerate from 0 to 100 mph in under 7 seconds and hit the 200 mph mark.

"Performance wise it'll be a properly quick car. Less than 1200kg in full road trim and not just a track day special, you know that's not what I want to make, it'll have a decent interior with air conditioning. I always said I wanted to build a car with the performance of an Enzo for less than £100k, and that's what I'll deliver this time round,” he added.
