After two months of physical recovery from his accident in the Hungarian Grand Prix, Brazilian driver Felipe Massa finally returned to the team's headquarters in Maranello. However, he did not come to Italy alone, but joined by his personal trainer.

According to the Ferrari official site, Massa will this week begin training inside an F1 simulator, have some technical meetings with the engineers and do lots of physical exercise, basically all the needed preparations before stepping into a real F1 car. However, the testing of a Ferrari F2007 – which the FIA agreed to earlier this week – will not happen this week, but later this month.

I'm finally back home. This is my second family and I couldn't wait to see them again, all the people I've been working with for many years and who have been close to me these days. Now I can really say that I start working again. There's lots to do, but I'm happy. I like the way in Maranello,” said Massa when arriving to the Ferrari headquarters.

For the time being, there were only a few people welcoming Massa back, as most of the team's personnel are still to return from Japan. However, neither team principal Stefano Domenicali nor the company's CEO CEO Amedeo Felisa missed the reunion.

It's good to have Felipe back with us and I'm happy that I can embrace him again. We called Chairman Luca di Montezemolo together and he was happy to say hello to Felipe, wishing him well for his work, while they took an appointment for the next days,” said Domenicali.

Today we'll have some technical meetings and mainly physical exercise. Felipe has to get back on top: he has a demanding period ahead of him with constant activities, but he knows that we're not in a hurry,” added the Ferrari official.
