Back in the swinging ‘60s, a handful of pickup truck owners started jacking the suspension, fitting huge rubber and toughening up the chassis for the fun of mud bogging and truck pulling. Despite this humble start, lifting trucks soon turned to monster trucking.
Some people say that Bob Chandler and what he did in April 1981 with Bigfoot as the first ever monster truck to crush cars, while other claim that Jeff Dane and his King Kong were first in the late 1970s. Still, that was that and this is now and good golly how things have changed over the years...

Take the Hall Brothers Racing’s Raminator as a prime example of how much advancements and green dollar bills are now used to make the monster truck world go on. But this is not your typical lifted Ram.

Without further ado, this is the fastest monster truck around

Dubbed the Raminator and sponsored by the Ram Truck brand, this bad boy has broken the Guinness World Record for the "Fastest Speed for a Monster Truck" at Circuit of The Americas in Austin, Texas. 99.10 mph (159.48 km/h) was the speed that driver Mark Hall and the Raminator secured the title with, breaking the previous 96.8 mph world record (155.78 kilometers per hour). Not bad at all, Mark Hall!

Taking on the challenge of breaking a world record has been an experience we will never forget,” said Hall Brothers Racing president and crew chief, Tim Hall. “With the support of Ram and Mopar, we continue to add to our achievements and are honored to now be a Guinness World Records holder.” That’s about enough with the jibber-jabber, so head on below and press play to see and hear the Raminator tear up the tarmac.
