Falken Porsche 911 GT3 R Is Here

We are inviting you to enjoy the pathways of automotive world marketing together with us: Falken High Performance Tyres recently announced that it would use a Porsche 911 GT3 R for this year’s Nurburgring 24 Hour offensive. The company has subsequently release the adjacent image, which shows the German track gladiator in Falken livery.

The move comes after the company has used Japanese sports machines in the ADAC Zurich 24-Hour Race. The Falken team hasn’t revealed its driver line-up yet, but we can expect Nurburgning-favourite names to get behind the wheel of the racer you see in the picture.

The tire maker stresses the fact that the event will contribute to the development of the next generation of Falken Tires.

The 2011 edition of the Nurburgring endurance assault is scheduled to take place on June 25th-26th. We have to mention that the 911 is one of the track’s favourite children, as it won nine out of ten races of the 2010 Long-Distance Championship (VLN) held at the track.

We are talking a bout a rear-engined racing beast that delivers 480 hp and uses motorsport-tuned traction control, ABS, as well as an electronically controlled de-clutching function.

The basis for technology and development of FALKEN High Performance Tyres and their extraordinary driving characteristics have formed motorsport for many years. Through the systematic evaluation of experiences obtained in racing, new insights are gained, which then flow into series production via the shortest route. This results in outstanding products that meet the highest quality standards and have successfully proven themselves in international competition for many years,” a company release states.
