F30 BMW 3 Series Engine Range

The most important new car that has not been unveiled at the Frankfurt Auto Show, but will arrive soon, has to be the F30 BMW 3 Series. The vehicle is set to be unveiled on October 14, in Munich, Germany and reach European showrooms next spring, as Auto Bild Writes.
OF course, everybody is wondering what the new 3er will be hiding under the hood. Well, according to the aforementioned source, we will take a long journey on the downsizing road, with the car relying exclusively on turbocharged engines.

The entry-level 316i will offer the driver 136 hp and will set you back EUR29,000 (this is the price for the German market). This will be followed by the 320i, which will produce 184 hp, and the 328i, which will allow the driver to play with 245 hp.

All the aforementioned models use four-cylinder engines, but we also have one 3.0-liter straight six with twin turbos: the 335i, which will produce 306 hp.

Oil-burning fans will be able to start with the 316d, which will offer 115 hp, while a four-cylinder 323d will replace the current six-pot 325d. The car will also receive a six-cylinder diesel, but the details remain unknown for now.

The big novelty will be the introduction of the Active Hybrid 3, which will bring together a 3.0-liter petrol straight six with an electric motor, delivering a total of 340 hp (for comparison’s sake, we’ll tell you that the E46 M3 offered 343 hp).
