We’ve talked about Susie Wolff before, for instance when we showed you that the woman knows her way around drifting a... Maybach. Nonetheless, the F1 test drive has her good and her bad days, just like all of us. Alas, the Mercedes-Benz Stars and Cars Event 2014 that took place last month in Stuttgart saw Sussie having difficulties pulling a burnout in the automaker’s DTM car.
The driver was parading in the DTM Mercedes AMG C-Coupe and wanted to heat up the November weather by roasting those fat 320 rear tires. She attempted to pull a burnout on two separate runs, but stalled the V8 on multiple occasions, as well as pulled half-burnouts before she managed to do a proper one.
Standing between Susie and everybody’s happiness was a four-plate CFRP clutch and, as it turned out, matching the revs and dropping the pedal on the left wasn’t as easy as it seemed. Nonetheless, she pulled it off in the end, covering the 500 hp racer in a cloud of smoke.
“I have a full-time job at Williams, which is great, but nothing can replace the adrenaline of racing and I can't wait to get that back. So I'm proud to have been chosen to take part in the Race Of Champions and I'm looking forward to racing against some of the top-rated drivers in the world,” Susie said last month.

Susie is almost ready to become the first female driver in the Race of Champions
While Susie is an an F1 test driver for Williams, she is about to have a truly competitive experience this weekend, when she is set to become the first female driver in the Race of Champions. The 2014 ROC will see the battles taking place at the Bushy Park Circuit in Barbados.“I have a full-time job at Williams, which is great, but nothing can replace the adrenaline of racing and I can't wait to get that back.
