F1 Drivers Receive Warning from FIA Over Bad Language

While it may not be something that bothers everybody, as most people do swear, with varying degrees of frequency and severity, when you’re on the podium of an F1 Grand Prix, people tend to hear what you say, and news of what you said tends to spread quickly - it reaches the FIA in no time!
During the media activities following this weekend’s Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, both Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen were heard swearing, while up on the podium. The governing body of motorsport reportedly sent out a letter, spurred on by the 22 complaints received by the BBC, in Britain, regarding the swearing.

Following the ‘incident’, Sebastian Vettel admitted to having used the words that he used, saying: "I'm terribly sorry for using the wrong word on the podium today and I'm sorry if I have offended anyone who was watching [. . .] In the heat of the moment, I didn't use the right words and I apologise. I'll do better next time."
