Elektromotive To Power Brussels Motor Show EVs

Elektromotive, a provider of electric vehicle charging stations, today announced that its latest technology will join a number on new electric vehicles at the Brussels Motor Show, which is being held between January 15 and 23. The company has also confirmed that it is expanding into the North American and Asian markets this year.

I don’t think there is any doubt that 2011 could well be the year of the electric vehicle.  However, while there is enormous potential for mass uptake of EVs, this may well be little more than a pipe-dream without a suitable recharging infrastructure in place,” said Calvey Taylor-Haw, Managing Director of Elektromotive.  “This is why it’s so important to demonstrate the benefits of EVs alongside well-proven recharging technology like the Elektrobay to as many people as possible."

The company’s Belgian product reseller, ThePluginCompany, will display multiple charging points at the Brussels event alongside some of the freshest EVs and hybrids on the market, including the Opel Ampera, Mitsubishi i-MiEV, and the 2011 European Car of the Year, the Nissan Leaf.

The event’s “Drive Your Dream” theme will see customer enjoy driving experiences in the newest cars on the market on an indoor circuit, with Elektrobay providing power to a range of EVs.
