The charging infrastructure should support the authorities plan to see at least 10 percent of the cars in the country powered by electricity by 2020. The charging stations provided Elektromotive has been commissioned to initiate a pilot project that includes the installation of 10 Elektrobay EV charging points in key Irish locations. The project is being co-ordinated by electricity supplier ESB and has already started, as the first three units have been installed earlier this week.
"The installation of these first 10 Elektrobay ‘juice points’ with ESB is just the beginning,” said Niall Doonan, Managing Director at Carra Group, reseller of Elektrobay units in Ireland. “We have the rapidly-scalable installation expertise required to support the Government’s ambitious plans, and the Elektrobay is already proven outside Ireland to be the most robust, reliable and user-friendly EV recharging solution available.”

The Elektrobay charging stations have already shown their capabilities in London, where 135 stations are currently catering for the needs of EV users. An additional 165 Elektrobay stations are installed in cities throughout the UK.
